The Gopashtami festival was celebrated on the eighth day in the Hindu Kartik month, during the Shukla Paksha period. According to the Gregorian calendar, falling in October and November.
This festival is dedicated to worship and offers prayers to cattle. It is a well-known fact that members of the Hindu community believe in cattle to become God’s reincarnation. So, on this day, people prayed to Gordhan and also showed gratitude and respect for the animal, considered a lifelong.
